Trinket Box by Mistra Hoolahan

Hi everyone!

This weekend I  turned a simple little balsa wood box into this sweet trinket box for us here at Green Tara...
I was dying to see how well the banana fibre papers would go used like tissue for covering items... it was so easy to work with!  I adore the fibres showing through, giving it such wonderful texture.  I used Inkssentials Glue'n'Seal to adhere the banana fibre paper and while still wet applied some Tim Holtz stains and blended them through with more Glue'n'Seal.
I cut up some of the Silver Stems to pop into the ribbon bow, they add such a delicate sparkle to everything
I love the little metal embellishments Green Tara stock, they are so easily transformed if the silver isn't working for your project.  Just give them a thin coat of acrylic paint or gesso, then when dry add another coat and then add some stains for more colour.
The Silk Flowers with Swarovski Crystals have become a favourite of mine, they are simply so sweet with that gorgeous sparkly center.

Until next time, take care,
Mis xo

Happiness From Above
By Geraldine Pasinati

Hi everyone, Today I'm sharing a sweet, pretty and very feminine layout I created for my daughter Mackenna. I wanted to show how well different styles of Green Tara flowers can be combined and look really stunning together.
For this layout I have used Green Tara flowers, stems, and lace and teamed it with Pion Designs Papers to create a  soft 'Vintage' layout that any little princess would love.
Thank you for visiting the Blog. Stay a while and I hope you are inspired by all the projects the amazing Design Team have here for you to see. Till next time.      Geraldine.

The Eyes......by Di Garling

Well here I am again. Today I would like to share this layout with you that I made recently. Of course there are lots of beautiful Green Tara flowers,  riboons & lace here. I have used all white flowers again & Glimmermisted them to the colours I needed. This seems to be becoming a habbit with me lately. If you don't have Glimmermist you could use inks or paints even. All of these flowers on the entire layout cost less that what it would cost me to buy one packet of some of the well know brands!! Good value I say. I have also used some beautiful Green Tara Lace, Lime Green Bud N Bow Trim & a gorgeous Lime Green Tara ribbon which I have simply tied in a bow. I have also inserted some of the lace along the top edge of the page in between the layers.
In this close up picture you can see how well the flowers colour up. On the green flowers I have also edged them in some "Diamond Dust" for a touch of glam. One the blue roses  which were also misted from white to blue, I have splashed a little "Irredescent Medium" on to add a little shimmer.
In this close up you can see how beautiful this lace & Bud N Bow Trim looks, also this yummy bow tied with the Green Tara Satin Edged Organza Ribbon. Super feminine.
Well thanks again for stopping by, until next time.     Cheers Di  xo

Making Tendrils for Flowers
by Di Garling

Hi everyone. Today I would like to share a little tip that I use all the time with my flower clusters, just to add a touch of class. A lot of you probobly already do this, but for those of you that don't, I think you will like this extra little touch.
Firstly take a Green Tara Rose, these usually come with this little green wire attached & I always use my Awl. If you don't have one of these tools a skewer or something similar will do.
Next I hold the end of the wire with my thumb on the spike of my tool & just start rotating so as to curl the wire around the Awl.
Now just slide your tool out of the spiral & hey presto, all done. There you have a sweet little tendril hanging from your rosebud. Now all you have to do is glue the rose onto your layout. How easy was that???
If you look closely at this picture (click on picture to enlarge it) you will see three little tendrils spilling out from around my flower cluster. It just adds a touch of realism to your flowers. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.  Cheers Di  xo

Valentines Day by Vicky Alberto

I had this layout idea with layered hearts and a lace border in my head but I couldn't find the right family pictures. So... I made it into a display instead to put on my fireplace mantle for February - love month :) The beautiful papers and vintage images I used are from Pion Design and all of the embellishments are Green Tara products (flowers, lace and sprays). I made the flowers by simply layering Green Tara white petals and silk flowers (with crystal centers!). Oh I just love those crystal flowers and the pearl sprays are glorious too. Thanks for taking the time to view my project today!

"Dream" by Vicky Alberto

The photo is of my son a few years ago asleep on the couch. I just can't seem to do a boy layout without flowers, LOL. The papers are from the Pion Design and I used some Green Tara white petals, cream roses, suede leaves, and apple blossoms, as well as some of their divine lace trim. I soooooo love the lace - thick and gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by to take a peek today!
